Tips and Tricks for getting the perfect Atlantic Beach rental experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Atlantic Beach. Booking your Beaufort, NC vacation rental in Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Choosing the best vacation rental:

  • Choose vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Sward Shack: 4 BR, 3.5 BA Townhouse in Atlantic Beach, Sleeps 9 has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the host before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
