Getting the best Emerald Isle vacation home experience:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Emerald Isle. To book the most suitable vacation home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Beaufort, NC attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area visitor guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select a group leader, choose your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. The Lookout at Queens Court has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your family.
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a rental that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge additional pet fees.
  • Visiting for a specific event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
