Tips and Tricks to get the best Beaufort, NC rental experience:

When to book a Beaufort, NC rental & When to go:

  • To book the best rental for your budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. The Lookout at Queens Court has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available online. If they are not listed, call the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Know before you go:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Upon arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your rental home while you're away. Protect your property!
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent stay? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
