Tips and Tricks for getting the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Atlantic Beach. To find the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a rental that allows animals. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback.
