  • Cottage

Out on the peninsula about 15 mins. to Beaufort township. It's one of America's oldest settlements and was voted Finest Modest Town in US 2017. The home itself is very tidy with all amenities and super-fast Wi-Fi (unlimited). So, if you have to do a little business you can. A printer is also on hand for any printing. The dock is ideal for fishing and crabbing, and i also have a modest private sandy beach for swimming. It's a super safe neighborhood, and the neighbors are most helpful. I will be adding cards and board games for those rainy days. I have a modest collection of books that you can appreciate as well. I have left instructions on how to operate the TV: cable, Amazon, and Apple TV. It's worth mentioning that Beaufort was the first town to do Ghost Tours, and it's rather famed, so be sure to check it out.
ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING---tks

Our top Beaufort, NC rental home booking tips and tricks:

Find your best deal:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Book your rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites frequently offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides that include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Finding the best vacation home in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Choose dates and budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Waterfront cottage with dock & kayaks has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property manager before reserving your rental. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or charges might be applied to your contract.
  • If there's an individual Beaufort, NC destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.

More tips for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let burglars ruin your vacation.
  • Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your home life. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
