Throw a fishing line from the point or the floating dock or walk around and appreciate nature. A couple of Kayaks and paddles are available for you to use at your own risk obviously you supply your own life vest.

Located in Pine Knoll Shores, this vacation home is on the waterfront. Fort Macon State Park and Beaufort Historic Site are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway and North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. Flatwaters Paddling and Emerald Isle Adventures are also worth visiting.

Finding your perfect rental:

• Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• To get the largest rental within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Beaufort, NC restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.

• Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Go through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition.
• Did you have a excellent stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
