Our top Rental home booking tips:

When to book a Beaufort, NC rental home & When to go:

  • Summer months are high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Book your rental in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have offers and deals for nearby tours and attractions.

Use filters to narrow your search:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Where Isle Be - Emerald Isle, Central Location, Game Room, Hot Tub has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property management company before reserving your home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation group.
  • Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.

Additional considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, record any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an incredible resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
