Booking the best vacation property experience:

When to visit Beaufort & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To book the best rental within your budget, we recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have coupons for local tours and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 4BD 4.5BA NEW INCREDIBLE VIEWS of Beaufort Bridge, on Town Creek Marina has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is optimal for your family.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

Advice for a great stay:

  • Add the owner's contact information to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars ruin your trip.
  • Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if there is a dispute.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
