There are decks up on two levels of the home as well - a lower deck tucked into the foliage, and an upper sundeck overlooking the ocean.

Inside, the main living space is on the top floor, offering wood floors and central air conditioning. There's an open kitchen with stainless steel appliances, both a table and a breakfast bar for mealtime seating, and a living room with a comfortable sectional and a intelligent TV. Our top Beaufort, NC rental booking tips and tricks:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring is a great way to save on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Some hosts offer promotional rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your rental search:

  • Choose your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Cheerful, 2nd-row duplex with ocean view & 2 decks, steps to the beach has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If not, email the property management company before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges may be applied to your contract.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Document any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
