Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Beaufort vacation property experience:

Finding the best value:

  • To get the best value, consider changing your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Hosts sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Beaufort, NC area travel guides which will include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Make a plan and pick your prefectrental:

  • To start, have your family commit to the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Sound Front Home with Dock (Downeast Retreat) has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what is right for your trip.
  • If there's a specific Beaufort, NC beach you are enamored with, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the property management company about pets before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that damages aren't attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the property manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
