Booking the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

Get the best rental value:

  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summertime is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. Booking in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides contain deals for local shops and restaurants.

How to select the perfect rental:

  • Choose your vacation week and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Peppertree AB condo in prime location with all the extras you could dream of! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. Otherwise, call the host before reserving the home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Additional considerations:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Record any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
