Strategies to get the very best Beaufort, NC vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in the Beaufort, NC area. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guides have discounts for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Choosing the best vacation rental in the Beaufort, NC area:

  • Select vacation week and maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Unique 2 Bedroom Condo
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. If not, email the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or might be applied to your contract.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. .

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas during arrival. Call the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a great stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
