How to find the best Beaufort vacation property experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in Beaufort. To get the most suitable rental for your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Beaufort, NC area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Beaufort, NC visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best rental:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Pirate Haven, Soundside House in Beaufort, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.

Additional considerations:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected everything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
