Strategies to get the very best vacation property experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • Booking in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • In the Beaufort, NC area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local Beaufort, NC area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have discounts for nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Filter your search:

  • Start by choosing the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Fisherman's paradise, large covered porch, pet friendly, & close to Beaufort, NC has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Beaufort, NC rentals search.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If not, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Is your family looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your invoice.

Tips for your stay:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, make a record of any problem areas when you arrive. Get in touch with the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many issues.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
