Strategies for getting the best Beaufort vacation property experience:

When to visit Beaufort & When to book:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Beaufort, NC area. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is a good way to save on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property management companies offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have discounts for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Planning, picking, and booking the rightrental home:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Fisherman's paradise, large covered porch, pet friendly, & close to Beaufort, NC has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to propel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
