Strategies to get the very best Beaufort, NC vacation property experience:

When to visit Beaufort & When to book:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Reserve your Beaufort, NC rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Beaufort, NC area travel guide magazines which include special offers, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by selecting a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Newly Renovated Historic House. 2 bed 2 marble bath. Amazing local. Bikes incl. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property manager before booking the rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .

More considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • To make sure that damages are not attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. message the property manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
