Strategies for getting the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:

When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to book:

  • The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • To get the best rental home within budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Beaufort, NC restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Beaufort, NC vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Beaufort, NC visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guides have coupons for local tours and attractions.

How to pick the best rental home in Atlantic Beach:

  • Start by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Vance Cottage- Ocean Front Home in AB has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before booking

Tips for a great stay:

  • Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
